Let’s begin

1. What Is Universal Studios Orlando Bag Policy?

The following are the breakdowns of rules by bag type:

Bags

Universal Studios allows many bags, including drawstring bags and shoulder bags. However, suitcases and bags with wheels are not allowed.

But if you’re planning to bring a large bag to the park, think twice! Universal Studios Orlando limits the size of bags you can bring into the park.

Bag Size Limits

Bags larger than 8.5 x 8.5 x 6 inches are not allowed into Universal Studios’ theme park.

Bags on Rides

The rides do not allow bags for security reasons. You don’t want a bag to fly off a ride and hit another ride-goer or collide with the ride.

Backpacks

Even though a backpack can be securely put on your back and have a slim chance of falling off or becoming a security issue, backpacks are not allowed on any of the rides.

Backpack Size Limits

Universal Studios Orlando backpack rules allow backpacks no larger than 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep.

Bags on Rides

Backpacks are not allowed on any of the rides, so if you’re not going to leave your backpack in Universal Studios baggage storage Universal Studios Orlando, be sure to store it somewhere safe before getting on a ride.

Clear Bags

As opposed to other parks, Universal Studios does not have a clear bag policy that requires specific items to be placed into a clear bag for review before entering the park. However, upon entering the Theme Park, Universal Studios has X-ray and other scanning systems, which remove the need for clear bags for security checks.

Purses

There is no restriction on purses being allowed into Universal Studios. But if you don’t have a purse, you won’t be able to spend any money, so this must be allowed!

Purses on Rides

Purses are allowed on Universal Studios rides, but the staff will inspect them just like any other bag before you get on the ride.

2. Prohibited Bag Items

The Universal Studios bag prohibited items list includes:

  • Outside food and beverages (except for baby food)
  • Alcoholic Beverages, beer, wine, or any spirits, including flasks or containers
  • Marijuana
  • Glass containers of any kind

3. Baggage Storage Orlando Universal

If you want to enjoy Universal Studios Orlando rides without having your purse or backpack be a nuisance, Universal offers luggage storage Universal Studios Orlando.

This way, you won’t have to carry your bags everywhere and can know they will be safe until after the park closes when you come back for them. Universal baggage storage is available at two locations:

  • Universal CityWalk Orlando
  • The main Universal Studios theme park.

Universal CityWalk Orlando Baggage Storage Area

At Universal CityWalk, baggage storage is open from morning to night. Therefore, the cost of the lockers depends on the size. The large lockers’ costs (12 in. x 13 in. x 16.9 in.) start at $10 per day, while the family size lockers’ costs (12 in. x 16.25 in. x 16.9 in.) start at $15 per day.

The Universal Studios Theme Park Baggage Area

At the Universal Studios Theme Park, baggage storage is open from morning to night. The large lockers’ costs (12 in. x 13 in. x 16.9 in.) start at $10 per day, while the family size lockers’ costs (12 in. x 16.25 in. x 16.9 in.) start at $15 per day.

You can check-in for free at both Universal Studios locations each day, so Universal luggage storage is an excellent option if you have a lot of things with you!

Conclusion

The use of universal baggage storage while at the park is also a brilliant idea! During my time at the park, I found this to be the most convenient method of managing my bags. You can take a few smaller bags on your day trip to the theme park and store them in the baggage area after your visit. The advantage of this is that you do not need to carry many bags around with you all day long. Instead, you simply need to head back to the baggage area and get what you need whenever you need something.
