01. What is Disney Hollywood Studios?

The Disney Hollywood Studios is a theme park inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood. Thus, it features the world of film, music, theatre, and television. This park is divided into seven sections called lands. The lands are Hollywood Boulevard, Echo Lake, Grand Avenue, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, Animation Courtyard, and Sunset Boulevard. Overall, this park is home to 20 attractions and rides, 25 dining places, and 16 shopping spots.

02. Transportation

Transportation to the Park:

Several methods of transportation will get you to Disney Hollywood Studios. If you drive, take a bus, a boat, or take a tram, you can get to the park.

Drive

The most common method to reach Disney’s Hollywood Studios is driving and parking in the parking lot. The Hollywood Studios parking lot is the best place to park if you drive. Just enter Hollywood Studios in Google Maps or Apple Maps or set your GPS for 351 S Studio Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. Be aware that there’s a parking fee of $25 per day, but it can be $50 per day during peak seasons.

Buses

Disney offers complimentary bus services that go anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort. Its Park-goers from Disney’s Animal Kingdom and other Disney Resort hotels can go to Disney Hollywood Studios by bus.

Friendship Boat Service and Skyliner

Park-goers from EPCOT can take the Friendship Boat Service, the Skyliner, or the Walkway to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Uber

Park-goers can reach Disney’s Hollywood Studios via Uber. The drop-off location is right next to the Disney Skyliner Gondola Station. In general, it is a very convenient location. Drop-off lines can back up early in the morning before the park opens.

Transportation Inside of the Park

Skyliner

Park-goers can take the Skyliner if they are going to or coming from places such as Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels, EPCOT, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Friendship boat service

Park-goers can take the friendship boat service if they are going to or coming from EPCOT, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, or Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels.

Bus

Park-goers can take the bus if they are going to or coming from Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and all other Disney Resort hotels.

03. Entrance

The entrance to Disney Hollywood Studios is a short walk away from the parking lot. It will drop you off directly at the main entrance if you’re riding the bus.

Upon arrival at Hollywood Studios, you will go through security. Therefore, you must have your tickets and MagicBands ready in advance.

During the security check, you might be required to remove some prohibited items from your possession or place them in storage.

04. Accessibility 

For park-goers who will visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are various accessibility options available in the park.

You can rent a wheelchair from Hollywood Studios, an electric convenience vehicle (ECV), or a scooter from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can also book your rental items online before you arrive at the park, or you can rent them while you are here.

There is also the ability to rent a mobility scooter at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ disability access service (DAS). This method allows park-goers with disabilities to visit famous attractions without taking the time to wait in lines.

Park-goers visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios can also rent scooters through Magic Mobility. By taking advantage of this service, you won’t have to worry about getting your way through crowded sidewalks and walkways.

The Hollywood Studios map can be used to navigate while touring the park. The map divides the park into seven sections called lands. The lands are Hollywood Boulevard, Echo Lake, Grand Avenue, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, Animation Courtyard, and Sunset Boulevard.

Park-goers can also get this map through an app called My Disney Experience. This app also offers real-time updates to the park, such as waiting for lines at rides. Thus, you can know the best places to visit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

06. Attractions & Rides

Attraction and Ride Wait Times

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, queues for rides can be quite long. By using the My Disney Experience app, you can reduce wait times. With this app, you’ll find out which rides have shorter lines and which ones are currently closed due to maintenance issues or technical difficulties. You’ll save a lot of time this way.

07. Restaurants & Places To Eat

09. Park Hours

Opening Time

The operating hours of Disney’s Hollywood Studios start at 8:30 am and close at 9:00 pm. The park is open every day. However, these hours may change throughout the year, depending on the season. Thus, you should always check Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ website to know the operating hours on your planned visit date.

10. Storage

Lockers

Park-goers can find lockers in two locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The first is in the park, while the second is outside. You can find outside lockers near the Bus Information Office. Lockers are available inside Oscar’s Super Service in the park. Lockers at all Disney theme parks have been upgraded. Below are the sizes and rental prices of each locker.

Locker Sizes

There are three sizes of lockers available:

Small: (12″ x 10″ x 17″). Prices per day: $10

Large: (15.5″ x 13″ x 17″). Prices per day: $12

Jumbo: (17″ x 22″ x 26″). Prices per day: $15

11. Tickets

The following information may be helpful to you if you’re about to buy your Disney Hollywood Studios tickets. Listed below are the Disney Hollywood Studios tickets you can purchase.

1 Park Per Day Ticket (Base Ticket)

The ticket provides access to Disney Hollywood Studios for one day. Ages 10 and up can purchase it for $109. However, you can enter Disney Hollywood Studios only if you choose this park when purchasing this ticket. As a result, you cannot enter other parks nearby.

Add On Park Hopper Ticket (Optional)

You can add this ticket to your base ticket as an optional add-on. Prices are $65 for ages ten and up. Further, you can visit more than one theme park a day with this ticket. However, you cannot visit other parks before 2 pm.

Add On Park Hopper Plus Ticket (Optional)

Alternatively, you can choose to add this ticket to your base ticket. If you are over ten years old, it is $85 more. This ticket allows you to enter more than one theme park each day. It also includes access to water parks and other exclusive attractions.

12. Hotels

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has several hotels and resorts nearby that you can consider. In addition, there are more than 25 on-site resorts and hotels you can consider when you want to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Resorts: Contemporary, Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort and Villas, Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Old Key West Resort and Villas.

Hotels: The Swan, The Dolphin, Shades of Green Resort, Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Port Orleans Resort & French Quarter, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness.

13. Customer Service

Customer service is available throughout the park if you need assistance while exploring Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios has two Guest Relations locations: at the park entrance window and immediately on the left upon the park entrance. Disney Springs also has an excellent Guest Relations building and the Disney Ticket Center in the Town Center.
