01. What Is the Disney World Covid Policy for 2022?

Disney World’s Covid policy for 2022 requires all park-goers to follow these four rules while visiting the park. However, this policy is subject to change based on the situation.

02. Tickets

Disney World has implemented a ticket policy to combat Covid. Visiting the theme park requires you to purchase tickets online through Disney’s website before you visit the park. It is no longer possible to purchase tickets on the spot at the theme park. Advanced ticket reservations allow Disney management to control the number of park-goers that are in the park which helps prevent overcrowding and ensures easy social distancing. Another benefit of the policy is there are no long queues at the park’s entrance which also helps with social distancing.

03. Masks

The indoor areas of Disney World require park-goers to wear a face mask. However, facemasks are optional in common areas and outdoors with outdoor ventilation. All park-goers ages two and up are subject to this rule, regardless of vaccination status.

04. Temperature Checks

Park-goers no longer have to have their temperatures checked before entering Disney World. Park-goers should confirm that all members of their party are:

  • Not having Covid-19 symptoms
  • Not being in contact with a person with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without finishing a 14-day quarantine
  • Not under any self-quarantine requirements

05. Social Distancing

Each park-goer must keep at least 6 feet distance from other park-goers. However, the rule has now been relaxed.

06. Park Capacity

Disney World limits the number of park-goers permitted in its parks at any given time. By doing this, the policy will ensure social distancing and prevent overcrowding. In 2022, the rule has also been relaxed, and you will see a lot more people in the park.

07. Character Interaction

According to the original park policy, park-goers could not hug or get autographs from Disney Characters because of the social distance guidelines. Park-goers could only view the characters from a distance. These restrictions have also been relaxed. Even though you can’t hug Disney characters or ask for autographs, you can get much closer to them, which is very exciting for kids.

08. New Covid-19 Policy Duration

Disney has not indicated how long its policies will be in place to combat Covid-19. However, it appears that the policy will remain in place until the Covid-19 pandemic subsides.

Final Thoughts:

Disney World’s Covid policy for 2022 is much more relaxed than the original one. And it’s probably going to get even more relaxed as restrictions lift.

You can now enjoy your time inside of the theme park without worrying about following strict guidelines. However, if you decide to visit any of the theme parks, it is still essential to take precautions against contracting the virus.

I’ll update this article for you if there are any changes in the covid policy so check this post again a day or two before your trip.
